Audax Renovables promotes smart energy management at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria after being awarded a €9.5 million contract
Badalona, January 20, 2026. ADX Renewables has been awarded the competition “Supply of electrical energy and access to networks for the buildings and facilities of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC)”, by submitting the best offer in the tender, in which companies such as Iberdrola or NEXUS also participated.
The contract, with a duration of two years and the possibility of extending it for a third., includes the supply of 11,338,359 kWh per year, of renewable energy, to 14 supply points, under the modality of fixed price and with Guarantees of Origin (GOs), for a total value of 9.520.556,27 €.
In addition to electricity supply, Audax Renovables incorporates high value-added services that make energy management a more efficient, digital, and sustainable experience. These include:
- Implementation of a dedicated energy management platform for the University which allows for the monitoring of consumption and greater control over energy parameters
- Installation of electric vehicle chargers, which reinforce the University's commitment to decarbonization and emissions reduction on campus.
- Specialized training for ULPGC staff, with courses on interpreting invoices and how energy markets work.
