Audax Renovables begins the construction of its photovoltaic project in Ciguñuela, Valladolid

With an investment of between 7 and 8 million euros, the Zaratán I and II project will have a total power of 12.3 MWp.

The company plans to generate around 70 direct and indirect jobs in its immediate surroundings.

Audax Renovables (ADX.MC), a vertically integrated Spanish energy group that generates and supplies renewable 100% electricity and gas to customers in 7 countries, has announced the start of construction of its photovoltaic project located in the municipality of Ciguñuela, in the province of Valladolid. , which will have a total power of 12.3 MWp.  

In line with its strategy of continuing to promote its generation activity through the different projects that make up its portfolio, Audax plans to invest between 7 and 8 million euros in its construction, with which it plans to generate around 70 direct and indirect jobs. in its immediate surroundings to employ around 10 professionals once the plant is operational.

The project will have 22,560 545 Wp modules with 1-axis tracker, which will generate 21.5 GWh/year, the equivalent of the energy consumption of almost 5,500 homes and around 17,000 people. Its commitment to clean energy will prevent the emission of 3,840 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere.

This facility will be connected to the Zaratán Substation with a 200-meter evacuation line that is part of a common evacuation infrastructure with other developers, estimating that the construction period will be approximately 7 months. The company ensures the accompaniment of the works with top-level contractors who meet high quality standards, under the EPC (turnkey) modality.

Among the new projects in 2021, the 35 MWp grid connection of the Cañamares (Cuenca), Carolinas I and II and Zarzuela I, II, III and IV (Toledo) plants stands out, and the authorization for their entry into operation of the Alberizas I, II, II and IV plants (Guadalajara), with 20 MWp. The company has also completed the works on the Calañas (Huelva), Los Arenales and El Toconal (Toledo) plants between January and February of this year, which total 14.5 MWp. In Panama, the Toabré wind farm project, participated in a 30% by Audax, has completed the execution of the works and the installation is producing tests.

Audax currently has 226 MW of installed power, 150% more than in 2020 and of which almost half (112 MW) is located outside Spain.

These projects are part of the firm commitment and strategy of the Audax Group to increase its 100% renewable generation portfolio by increasing its generation portfolio, either through organic growth or by closing purchase agreements, with the aim of supplying its customers renewable energy produced in their own plants.
