Audax Renovables visits the photovoltaic plant it is building in El Casar

The Carolinas I and II facilities will produce 16.2 GWh of renewable energy per year, which is approximately equivalent to the consumption of 4,600 homes

Audax Renovables (ADX.MC), the energy group that integrates the businesses of generation and marketing of renewable 100% electricity, has carried out a site visit prior to the inauguration of the Carolinas I and II photovoltaic plants, which are expected to come into operation in the next weeks.

The visit was carried out with the presence of Mr. Eusebio Robles, Delegate of the Government of the Government of Castilla la Mancha, Mr. Jose Luís Tenorio Pasamón, Provincial Delegate of Sustainable Development in Guadalajara, Mrs. María José Valle, Mayor of El Casar , Mr. Javier Bule Viedma, Deputy Mayor of El Casar and Mrs. Maria del Ángel Auñón Carriedo, from the Urban Planning Department of the El Casar City Council who have accompanied the Audax Renovables Management headed by José Elías Navaroo (President), Eduard Romeu Barceló (Vice President) and Anabel López Porta (Generation Director), who stressed the importance of renewable energies to achieve a sustainable energy transition and to continue generating employment and quality growth.

The plant located in the municipality of El Casar, in the province of Guadalajara (Castilla-La Mancha) will produce 16.2 GWh per year of renewable energy. During this visit, the authorities were able to learn first-hand about the characteristics of the plant that occupies approximately 16 hectares. The facility has 29,820 solar panels totaling 10 MW of nominal power. Its entry into operation will prevent the emission of 3,240 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere and will be the equivalent of planting 6,480 trees.

Audax Renovables has built the plant with high quality standards and has had top-level contractors such as Risen Energy, which carried out the construction under the EPC (turnkey) contract modality and, on the other hand, ImMODO Fotovoltaica, who developed the plant and have supervised the entire work.

This project is part of the Audax Group's strategy to increase its generation portfolio with the aim of supplying its clients with renewable energy produced in its own plants. The development of the aforementioned projects for a total sum of 320 MW, will supply, once their implementation begins, about 600 GWh per year of green energy, which is equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 171,600 homes.
