Audax Renovables will supply gas to the Universities of Oviedo, La Rioja, Zaragoza, Cantabria, the Public University of Navarra and Castilla La Mancha

This is an agreement to supply more than 54 million kWh in nine months in the form of gas indexed to the TTF (Title Transfer Facility).

Audax Renovables (ADX.MC), a vertically integrated Spanish energy group that generates and supplies 100% electricity of renewable origin and gas to customers in 7 countries, has been awarded the contract to supply natural gas to all of the supply points of the Universities of Oviedo , La Rioja, Zaragoza, Cantabria, the Public of Navarra and Castilla - La Mancha.

Audax Renovables has been the energy company that has presented the best offer and has consequently been awarded the entire contract on the open market. This is an agreement to supply more than 54 million kWh in nine months, an essential supply for universities to carry out their activity.

The contracted modality is a gas product indexed to the TTF (Title Transfer Facility), which is the gas price index in the Dutch spot market on which universities may carry out price hedging.

The fact that the different universities have agreed on a joint tender favors not only the contracted price but also the joint management of the contracting strategies to be adopted throughout the term of the contract, which is especially relevant in such a market situation. volatile as the one currently existing.

Given the current situation of the energy markets, and the corresponding difficulty in setting a base budget for bidding, more and more public administrations are opting for contracting formulas in modalities indexed to the spot market and thus avoiding the competitions being remain deserted. This has been the case of the Royal Mint or the Madrid Science Park, whose tenders Audax has recently been awarded.

Audax Renovables has a long history as one of the most active energy operators in Spain, marketing both to large consumers in the private sector, public administrations, SMEs, and residential areas.
