Audax Renovables wins the tender to supply 100% electricity of renewable origin to MERCAMADRID

The listed Audax Renovables, one of the main operators in the national energy sector, has won the public tender called by the MERCAMADRID Food Unit to supply electricity to all of its 25 supply points.

Audax Renovables has been the energy company that has presented the best offer and has consequently been awarded the entire open market contract. This is an agreement to supply in a single year more than 3,000,000 KWh of renewable 100% electricity so that MERCAMADRID can develop its activity.

MERCAMADRID is the largest distribution, marketing, transformation and logistics platform for fresh foods in Spain and is one of the leading food units on the international scene.

Given the current situation of volatility in the energy markets and the corresponding difficulty in setting a base budget for bidding, public administrations are increasingly selecting formulas in modalities indexed to the spot market, which helps ensure that tenders do not remain deserted.

This has been the case of MERCAMADRID, which has opted for a product indexed to the OMIE wholesale market. And consequently AUDAX RENOVABLES will supply all of its electricity demand by supplying energy in this market on an hourly basis.

Audax Renovables has acquired the commitment to certify all of the energy delivered to MERCAMADRID as energy of 100% renewable origin, which is aligned with the positioning and strategy of the energy group.

Audax Renovables, a group that focuses its activity on the generation and marketing of renewable 100% energy, has long positioned itself as one of the most active energy operators in Spain, marketing to large consumers in the private sector, public administrations, SMEs and domestic customers.
