Gas in Portugal

The electrical energy marketer Audax Energía, present in Portugal since 2013, establishes itself in the Portuguese energy market by marketing gas to companies and homes

Audax Energía, a company with Spanish 100% capital, entered Portugal in the third quarter of 2013, marketing electricity and currently occupies the 7th position in the Portuguese electricity market, with more than 4,000 customers. Based in Lisbon, Audax Energía Portugal sells electricity throughout the Portuguese territory and in June 2015 it obtained a license to also market natural gas.

Audax Energía will offer low pressure gas that is aimed at homes, businesses and SMEs and also medium pressure gas, which is focused on companies with high energy needs.

With the start of gas marketing, Audax Energía plans to consolidate itself in 2016 as a benchmark in the Portuguese energy sector, managing to double its turnover in 2015. The marketing company, which is also present in Italy and Germany, aims to continue growing internationally with the short-term entry into 3 other countries of the European Union.
