Royal Decree-Law 7/2026
The Government has approved Royal Decree-Law 7/2026 in response to the international energy crisis. This legislation introduces changes that directly affect businesses, the self-employed, and households. At Audax, we want to explain in a simple and transparent way what these measures mean for our clients and how we have been implementing them from day one.

Temporary reduction of energy taxes
Until the June 30, 2026:

Customers with rates RL4 or higher, as well as self-employed, They can request:
- Modification of maximum flow rate (up to 3 times).
- Change to a lower toll tier (up to 2 times).
- Temporary suspension of the contract, maintaining the physical supply.
During the suspension:
- The fixed term fee is not charged..
- Yes, billing is for actual consumption, meter rental, and any prior debt.
- The toll savings must be passed on entirely to the customer.
The measure takes effect the day after the application.

Energy-intensive customers: reduction of 80% in electricity tolls
