Pool price plummets
Electricity prices in the daily wholesale market have suffered a spectacular drop in recent weeks, just after the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism invalidated the Cesur auction held on December 19.
In the first four days of January, the minimum price of this market has been €0 due to the entry of a large amount of wind energy and the average prices have been €5.81 per MWh (day 1), €25.28 ( day 2), €39.92 (day 3) and €4.99 (day 4). These prices contrast with the high prices of the weeks before the auction, the maximum price was reached on December 7, with €112 per MWh.
