Jos\u00e9 El\u00edas, CEO of Audax Energ\u00eda, was named a finalist yesterday by Catalonia for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2017, an award given by EY (Ernst & Young), one of the largest professional services firms in the world, among which auditing, finance and business advice.<\/p>\n
The Entrepreneur of the Year Award celebrates its 22nd edition and aims to recognize the business work of entrepreneurs as well as their leadership capacity and innovative spirit.<\/p>\n
The proclamation ceremony took place last night in Barcelona, in the Capella del Convent dels \u00c0ngels of the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA). Along with Jose El\u00edas, Vanesa and Denia Mart\u00ednez, from the Carinsa Group, the Xifra brothers, from Comexi, and Albert Ventura, from IMC Toys, were also proclaimed finalists.<\/p>\n
Jose El\u00edas will compete for the Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 Award along with the rest of the finalists from Spain on March 1 in Madrid at a gala where the winner will be announced. In addition to the main prize there will be 4 second prizes: Innovation Award, Internationalization Award, Emerging Entrepreneur Award and Family Business Lifetime Achievement Award.<\/p>\n
Likewise, this award has an international projection, since the national winner will participate in the World Entrepreneur of the Year Award for which only the winner from each country is eligible.<\/p>\n
